This vehicle will provide the horsepower and range you are looking for in an SUV, along with a whole lot of style. It's also surprisingly affordable too. Of course, the most important thing to know about the Audi E-Tron is also the most impressive thing: performance. The E-Tron features two electric motors that are rated at 355 horsepower combined. However, when shifted into boost mode, these electric motors can output at much as 402 horsepower, making the E-Tron capable of traveling from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 5.5 seconds. And acceleration is as quiet as it is quick, allowing for more comfortable highway driving. With a Quattro all-wheel-drive system, adaptive air suspension and 6.9 inches of ground clearance, the E-Tron is also built to handle dirt trails with no problem.
Getting the equivalent of 74 mpg, the E-Tron has a range of 204 miles, making it well-suited for daily driving. While some rival electric vehicles can travel farther, the E-Tron's mileage is nothing to scoff at. And it certainly won't be a deal-breaker if you are already a fan of Audi. Best of all, it takes just 80 hours to recharge the lithium-ion battery using a 120-volt outlet or as little as 9 hours with a 240-volt outlet at home. You can also use 150kW public chargers to quick charge your vehicle. As a special benefit to Audi customers, Audi will provide new E-Tron owners with up to 1,000 kilowatt-hours of free charging.
The luxurious interior is everything you expect from an Audi. Seating features standard leather upholstery with power-adjustability, heating and ventilation, so you are always comfortable, no matter the forecast. The cabin has also been designed to block road-noise, allowing for a consistently relaxing drive. Thanks to large doors, entering and exiting the vehicle is a breeze. The 10.1-inch display infotainment system features smartphone integration, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, navigation, USB ports, wireless phone charging, Bluetooth and more. Other standard features include quad-zone climate control, push-button ignition and proximity key. Standard driver assistance features include parking sensors, rear cross traffic alert, and forward-collision warning.
At $74,800, the Audi E-Tron is not the cheapest SUV option on the market, but it's certainly more affordable than its other all-electric rivals. A Prestige trim, available for $81,800 adds a driver assistance package, massage seats, and an air-filter among other features. Check it out at an Audi dealership near you.
